This in-person training will be focused on refreshing our perspectives on what online learning has to offer to improve students’ engagement and educational outcomes, as well as how to add dimension and purpose to online instruction with your individual teaching style.

Conquer your resistance to implementing online learning strategies and content and see how to blend online innovation with proven instructional strategies.

Nancy Heuer-Evans, i-Pathways Curriculum Coordinator, brings her MA in English from WIU and her 15 years of higher education teaching experience to bear on the project of refreshing the i-Pathways curriculum. For the past couple of decades, she has been involved in education at the community college level, in addition to providing profession development to central Illinois agencies. Heuer-Evans is committed to engaging learners in their own development, using whatever means work best based on how and why they learn. She works to develop an on-line educational presence for both instructors and students, with an eye to building a bridge between adult education and more favorable career and higher education outcomes. Her areas of concern include better assessment of our learners’ concerns and goals, more kinesthetic approaches to presenting information using technology, and connecting educators with others who are innovating so we can stop reinventing the wheel and better harness our time, talent, and energy.

Brandon John, i-Pathways Project Manager and Trainer, has been working on the i-Pathways project for 13 years. Brandon brings his technical expertise to the i-Pathways project. He also brings 20 plus years of training and instructional design experience.
